A view across a large bay at night from the waters edge, a long exposure smoothing the surface. A sandy shoreline at lower right yields to rocks at the left, lit by lights at the pier out of the frame. A blue marine warning light stands on a sea protection wall which juts into the frame at middle left, the light reflecting on the smooth surface all the way to the sand close in front. Distant tree lined hills are visble across the bay, the land at right having small sandstone cliffs lit by the moonlight. The sky is patterned with streaking grey clouds.
