Day 22. A simple study in blue. Santiago de Cuba.

There is no rhyme, reason, theme, or plan to the content of my Art Advent Calendar posts; just random photographs of places and things.

This is a colour photograph of a translucent glass bowl and a matching water jug. The jug stands inside the bowl. The camera view is level with the out-turned rim of the bowl. The lower sections of both the bowl and jug are a mottled shade of aqua blue which gradually changes to white towards the top of each piece. The wall behind is painted in a matching shade of blue. Below is a brown wooden tabletop. The simple study was photographed in the home of Diego Velázquez de Cuéllar in Santiago de Cuba. He was the first Spanish governor of Cuba (1465-1524).
