@ObsidianUrbex The boxing ring is ripe to become a co-working space for a tech startup
@unixben sadly I think it's destined to be demolished
@ObsidianUrbex
Fascinating locations. Thanks for showing us these beautiful places.
@lefteye it is my absolute pleasure
@ObsidianUrbex the trolley cars bring back visions of Twin Peaks.
Wonderful photos. I look forward to more of your work.
@gg you know...I still haven't seen Twin Peaks!
Happy to hear you enjoyed the photos, lots more to come
@ObsidianUrbex So glad you've got more coming. The photos I've seen so far on your site (I've only examined "My Favorites" so far; after all, I am supposed to be writing today) are truly arresting. Lucious colors, incredible composition. I presume you use a medium or large format camera? Because the detail is amazing. Even on the InterWeb.
I wonder if you are familiar with the work of Rone? https://rone.art/ ... He paints gi-normous facial portraits in abandoned buildings. Best to you.
@gg thanks so so much . I my website photos are a mix of various Sony DSLR and mirrorless camera shots, usually bracketed and often stitched panoramas. Definitely a lot of detail in these places, and wonderful texture
Oh that artists work seems familiar, I maybe have seen his work somewhere before. Very beautiful
@ObsidianUrbex my nephew works at the Eastern State Penitentiary museum.
@GESampson niiice! I very much enjoyed that place
@ObsidianUrbex @sanjuanswan Thanks for sharing! Just bought for a friend who’s a native Pennsylvanian and who has a birthday coming up.
@dox @sanjuanswan yay thanks so much David! I hope they love it. If you bought from my website just to let you know the postal service here is pausing international shipping, so it will be a day or two before I can dispatch
@ObsidianUrbex where’s that first photo?
@TransitBiker I am afraid I do not share specific location details. I believe (and have seen the effects of) damage and thefts to beautiful places. I hope you can understand and respect my feelings on this
@ObsidianUrbex sure. I’m a history nerd & always wanting to learn more about new finds like that. Helps with advocacy, education, and preservation.
@TransitBiker I do have some historic context in each accompanying article, so you can nerd out a bit with that
@ObsidianUrbex This is amazing!
