Just for fun, here is a random photo from my collection of beautiful places lost in time. Would you like to hear its story? Ask me a question in the comments!

@ObsidianUrbex I love those windows.
@burdickjp
Gotta love industrial architecture!
@ritawho
A factory in Belgium, it produced graphite from waste material from the nearby coke plants
@ObsidianUrbex @ritawho something to write home with!
@TransitBiker @ritawho This made me chuckle out loud
@ObsidianUrbex I'd love to hear the story - what's the brick tower with the hopper (?) on top in the middle left?
@Vertandor
This facility produced synthetic graphite from blast furnace coke waste.The hopper would have been related to this system. Did you spot the control panel in the middle foreground as well?
@ObsidianUrbex ah, thank-you! I did see the panel, the interesting "winder" controls reminded me a bit of the dead man's handle on train controls
@ObsidianUrbex It is the stories that make these photos so interesting.
@snapt
I 100% agree, context is so important. This one is an industrial ruin in Belgium, related to the old steel industry.
