Hey, #PeerTube fans. I'm looking for a PeerTube instance to join. I know about https://joinpeertube.org/instances
There are a bunch of servers on there. I'm looking for a good, reliable instance. Just as importantly, I want to fit in well with the other creators on that instance.
I plan to mostly post stuff about the Pacific Northwest (USA). This includes video from the Portland Winter Lights festival. There will also be a chunk of car racing stuff.
Any suggestions?
Don't know an instance specifically for PNW, but a decent general instance is (for example) https://spectra.video

Thanks for the suggestion. A dedicated PNW instance would be great, but I knew that was a longshot.
I mostly just want to be among other videos that are at least broadly in the same categories.
For whatever it is worth, I've tried to list reputable PeerTube instances with signups open at https://fedi.tips/how-to-publish-videos-and-audio-on-peertube/
There aren't anywhere near as many as for Mastodon etc mainly because it's a lot more resources to host other people's videos.
@FediThing
Good article. Thanks.
I'm aware that there aren't many PeerTube instances. I'm just looking for one that approximately fits my stuff. I'm also aware of the video size problem. Maybe it's surprising that there are as many instances as there are.
