This moderate trail, approximately 8 km (5 miles) round trip, starts near the Wilcox Creek Campground on the Icefields Parkway. The hike begins in a subalpine forest, gradually ascending through meadows that burst with wildflowers in summer. As you climb, the trees thin out, revealing expansive views of the Athabasca Glacier and the towering peaks of Mount Athabasca and Mount Andromeda. One of the highlights is encountering the iconic red Adirondack chairs, strategically placed to let hikers soak in the view.
