He/Him, late 20s with ADHD that's managed just enough to be a reliable cog in the machine. I'm a green collar roustabout and analog shutterbug living in the Boston area. I love cycling, baking, houseplants and aquariums, urban agriculture, and eating the rich. Still hoping to find a group of weirdos to do that co-op homestead in the woods somewhere I know almost every single one of us has talked about at 3am with our friends.

Hi there all of you, I'm an Finnish photographer joining in your community. Trying to make sense of the world around me through pictures. Still learning this platform and possibilities with-in. So hopefully I'm making some sense to you all. Added a selfie I did couple months ago.

An observation from May 2020. This Javan Munia (Lonchura leucogastroides) was spotted near the house. It was looking for nesting material, judging from its efforts to pull loose this hanging vine.

The Javan Munia is an uncommon introduced bird species.

New to this instance and relatively new to photography. Mostly taking photos of my tea at the moment, but whenever this pandemic ends I'll be going right back to local abandoned places.

The queen of an Asian Weaver Ant (Oecophylla smaragdina) spotted on the fence of the dam leading to Coney Island, Singapore, on 15 Dec 2020.

Weaver ants make nests in trees by weaving together leaves using silk from their larvae. Watching them make a nest is interesting, as long as you are careful not to get attacked by the ants.

My daughter's cat is visiting for the next week, and having had a solid day of bird watching, he's now pretty tuckered out on the back of the couch, next to the christmas tree.

Skyscraper and Evening
Midtown Manhattan, New York City
December 14th, 2020

The 30 Hudson Yards skyscraper two evenings ago, with the sky lit pink and orange by the setting sun and the clouds blowing by the whole area, behind, in front of, around it and near our own windows.

Looking closely you can see two people on the observation decks of the building. A few more came out later, but naturally they’re obscured in the more dramatically cloudy photos.
