The Cockatoo was back today and she tried calling for seed, but I didn't give her any (don't want to encourage them after all, as they're quite destructive).

Some birds in Singapore can be quite intelligent about getting food. Here's one about a local wild Hornbill getting an easy meal: a caged bird.

@sohkamyung @gemlog We lost a pet parrot to butcherbirds when I was a kid. Managed to kill and eat it through the cage.

Locally, I've seen Shrikes that have similar butcher habits, but I've yet to find any of their 'larders'.
