We had a little trouble getting out to our usual spot for Boabs and star trails, so there was only one option left! The team at Bullo River was amazing, organizing fancy swags to sleep in and some tasty treats for dinner.

This is a stacked image that uses a sequence of shots to capture the movement of the stars. I'm using what I call the "bright frame" technique where I compose and capture a silhouette at sunset, facing to the west, then leave the camera in place to record the stars moving around it.

Recently posted this pic of a star trail over boab trees, but it was also captured by a few of my travelling companions and one of them was named Bob...
So it could have been called Star Trails Over Bob instead and I missed a moment I'll regret for the rest of my life.
