Something groovy from Sigma today, their new 28-105mm F2.8 zoom for L-mount and E-mount. Have enjoyed working with this lens over the last few weeks. Blog review and YouTube are now live

Loads of lovely pics from my home town of Melbourne in this video :)
#PeerTube version now live as well. 28-105mm F2.8 zoom from Sigma for E-mount and L-mount. And a bunch of my pics from around Melbourne :)
Wasn't able to share these pics before, but the lens is publicly announced now so here's a few moments from last weekend when the parrots came to say hello :)
I love it when they come back to town.
And yes, I realise it's silly trying to do bird photography with a 28-105mm zoom but that's what I had on me!
And a few flowers from the same walk. That 105mm at F2.8 gives a tonne of lovely bokeh.
@ewen Interesting lens, thanks for the review. Might have to try this as an event lens.
@ewen Nice!! That type of lens seems like it would be fun to play around with for someone like me who doesn't really know what they want.
Also kudos on actually adding a proper outro, with your website! That's something I've been meaning to tell you would be welcome Give folks a trail of breadcrumbs to follow!
Wow that's a super versatile lens!!!
How's the focus smoothness?
Have you used this for any videos?
@ewen Hmm, when I see your results with lenses like these, I could almost contemplate buying a digital camera... almost!
High praise indeed :) Thanks Chris.
Lovely... so soft!
@ewen you made mention in the post of a “70-200mm F2.8”; any recommendations and not necessarily a fast lens?
Lots of good 70-200mm F2.8 out there. Everyone has a good one of them it seems.
What camera are you shooting on?
@ewen i have a Lumix GH5 body that I’d like to repurpose
The 35-100mm on the GH5 will give you the equivalent of 70-200mm.
Every lens in the world of MFT is much much smaller and lighter than the full frame world. Huge advantage at the telephoto end of things :)
@ewen thanks Ewen! I should have recognised the ratio between MFT and full frame, shall have a look around for a 35-100mm instead
