Thanks for that. I decided to edit the post and just do my usual thing and put up a thumbnail photo with it.
Then I thought I should explain what the video was too!
the thumbnail is actually counter productive. now the vid is just a link as pictures take precedent over the embedded video
I see a lot of links on my feed with no idea what it's linking to. I like to tell people why they might want to look, or have enough info to decide not to!
that's a good idea!
I view Mastodon mostly in the browser so i just rightclick the post and then the link usually preloads
Edit: that preloading now no longer happens, thats what i meant with counter productive.
