@itdm5j21 - that's a very yellow tree..?
@matt Yes, stands out doesn't it. Though I'm so far away from it and I wouldn't be able tell what it is anyway.
@itdm5j21 - seems odd for this time of year. Down your way I expect a mix of Oak, Sycamore, Chestnut, Ash and Beech - none of them would be this yellow in May..!
@itdm5j21 - could be a 'large' Laburnum in flower..?
@matt Yes, probably Laburnum x watereri looking at a tree book.
@itdm5j21 - it would be a very large specimen. The dinghy masts are around 15ft and I'd say the tree is almost double those masts. So that would make it between 24 - 30+ ft tall, for a tree that grows to around 25ft over 30 - 50 years...
@matt Well Chew Valley Lake reservoir was inaugurated by Queen Elizabeth II & Prince Phillip on the day before I came into this world - so it fits.
@itdm5j21 you shall have to visit again and go see...
@matt Thing is I'd need to join the sailing club as that area is private with no access for the likes of me.
@itdm5j21 - I'd just rock up and feign ignorance
