Being as I used to be able to type and proof read reasonably well and now, obviously visible to all I imagine, I'm poor at both when 'tooting', How can I correct/edit my posted 'toots' to save at least some creditibility...... 🤞#tooting

@itdm5j21 There is no way to edit a toot after the fact...
The only way to 'fix a toot' is to delete it and re-post.
Spelling and grammar are commonly 'wrong' in the federverse and can usually be left as-is.
The lead dev of Masto has made it pretty clear that post-toot edits aren't going to be a feature of Masto. They believe immutability helps with credibility, discourse and ensuring a proper timeline.
The point can be argued well from both sides and wed prefer to leave that bear unpoked 😉
