So this is happening. 2020 challenge. 52 cards, 52 weeks. My phone camera stinks so I'm going to remote control an RX100 for the photo capture and edit it with Lightroom Mobile on the phone.

Who wants to join me?

@kemonine I have felt at a loss for ideas of things to take pictures of for a while so hey why not even though my skill level is pretty low and I will probably use my phone, if you don’t mind.

@C3PO1Fan I will get you added to my list of people to tag with the weekly challenges.

We're all going to be using the following tags for discovery purposes

@C3PO1Fan No problem!

Also: the deck of photo challenge cards I'm using is designed for mobile photography (phone/similar)

That said: phones are valid cameras too. IMHO the goal of a photo challenge(s) is to push the limits of your creativity and grow as a photographer (hobby/amateur/other).

Phones are valid

Skill level doesnt matter

As long as *you* get something out of it... it's a huge win. Don't let anyone tell you otherwise.

@kemonine found the challenge! Is it too late to barge in? And also can I sometimes turn in things a bit late? Or do I have to strictly commit?

@zladuric Never too late to join and the intent is for this to be personal challenge.

You can interpret the rules/regs/etc as you see fit 😉

I'll be posting each weeks challenge around midnight UTC on thursdays.

@kemonine got it, thanks. This week's "The Red", last week it was "Sharp"?
I want to improve my hobby photography and this seems like a good way to work on it.

@zladuric Those are the two previous challenges.

And it's definitely a great way to improve and get creative with photography. This is my third time doing a weekly challenge for a year.

Every time it's helped me get more creative and definitely helped overall with my photography.

@kemonine thanks for making the effort of publicly engaging people to get better! In any case, I'm in. What's this week then, if I've missed it?

@zladuric Red 😉

You messaged me right after it went live.

@matt a great camera, ive had one for a couple years now and its a perfect pocket camera for me.

which version did you get?

@kemonine Mark IV... or 4 if you aren't a Roman numerals fan. I got it late yesterday so there wasn't much opportunity to use it since it goes dark here at 3pm... but I went out today and took a few shots with it.

@paynekj 👍

weeks roll over on thursdays, midnight utc and this current week is 'sharp'. I'll be posting each week the topic for the coming week.

The following hashtags I'll be using for my posts

I look forward to seeing your results!
