I asked my daughter Ellie, a fine arts graduate and arts therapist, to choose her favourite images from my ongoing Metamorphosis project on abstract 'found art' created by the hand of man, the elements and time. Here are four of the images she chose. I hope you like them too.

Oh weird! My degree is in geology and I thought these were cross-polar microscope photos of mineral thin sections.

Whatever these are, they're gorgeous.

@Alice Thank you Alice, I'm glad you like them - they're nothing quite as exotic, just scenes of fading paintwork/stone etc that I found on my travels around the city
