Da mir heute wetterbedingt etwas fad ist, habe ich daheim auf die Schnelle mal #Technitium #DNS in einem #Proxmox #LXC installiert. Habe hier in den letzten Tagen den einen oder anderen Beitrag dazu gelesen und ihr kennt mich ja, ich bin halt ein Spielkind. 
Somit habe ich aktuell als Haupt DNS #AdguardHome mit lokalen #Unbound (#OPNSense) und zum Testen einen #PiHole und jetzt eben auch Technitium ebenfalls mit lokalen Unbound.
Bin gespannt, ob eines der beiden Adguard Home ablösen wird. Vorteil von Technitium ist schon mal, dass der lokale Unbound ohne rumbasteln verwendet werden kann, da dies in den Boardmitteln bereits enthalten ist.
Entscheidungshilfe: Pi-Hole oder AdGuard Home und wieso?
Wer kann zu dieser Frage etwas beitragen?
Nach der Arbeit bin ich kaum zu gebrauchen, aber selbst wenn ich mich ein bisschen hinlege ohne zu schlafen, fühle ich mich danach unfassbar viel besser.
Soooo, was mach ich jetzt? Ich möchte gerne ein bisschen in #AdGuardHome tüfteln, aber hätte eigentlich etwas wichtigeres zu tun... hmmm 
@gcluley AD blocking and child protection in a way that you cannot control on your own is nothing better than censorship.
Better use something like #PiHole oder #AdGuardHome with a trustworthy DoH/DoT DNS server like the ones from @freifunkMUC or @digitalcourage.

social.sengotta.net Ich betreibe eine redundante #AdGuardHome Umgebung, über die alle mobilen Endgeräte per #WireGuard (ebenfalls redundant) angebunden sind. Die Daten werden daher bereits auf #DNS-Ebene herausgefiltert.
Mir ging es eher darum aufzuzeigen, dass #Vodafone per Default tatsächlich EXTREM viele Daten verwertet und diese sicherlich nicht nur selbst verwertet, was auch durch die Datenschutzbestimmungen untermauert wird.
Immerhin kann man hier, im Gegensatz zu einigen anderen Diensteanbietern - z. B. #Microsoft - die Schnüffelei vollständig abschalten. Ich habe mir jedoch nicht die Mühe gemacht und die Logs überprüft, ob auch wirklich nichts mehr getrackt wird. 
Hier übrigens ein interessanter Artikel zu #NextDNS. Wäre für mich keine empfehlenswerte Option.

Self-Hosting Journey Update!
After weeks of work, I'm excited to share my self-hosted setup!

Finally got around to mounting an extra monitor on my server rack! I hooked up my #RaspberryPi since I wasn’t using it for anything else, although I should probably just connect it to my compute server instead.
My end goal is a custom #grafana dashboard, but that’s an entire project in and of itself. For now, I’ll just tile my #adguardhome and #plex dashboards among others.

In the past few days, I set up an additional #NginxProxyManager instance to serve as a reverse proxy for my new internal #TLD. 
It also provides #LetsEncrypt certificates to ensure a secure connection. My #AdGuardHome #DNS server ensures everything works correctly.

I must say I've got pretty comfortable with #Docker and containers. It's like updating an operating system while keeping your settings and apps. Easy and mostly painless.

#AdguardHome vs #PiHole saga continues! I'm back to AdGuard after all, because of better UI and easier accessible statistics. PiHole works fine, but I just like AdGuard better in terms of manageability ...
Es geht hier ja die Meldung rund, dass uBlock Origin zukünftig mit diesem Google Chrome nicht mehr genutzt werden kann. Das wäre doch jetzt die perfekte Möglichkeit zu einem besseren Browser wie Firefox zu wechseln. Und da man ja auch nicht weiß, was Firefox in Zukunft mit diesem Manifest Dingensbummens macht, wäre die Königslösung einen Netzwerkweiten Adblocker wie AdGuard Home oder Pihole zu installieren. Diesen kann man Dank VPN auch unterwegs mit den mobilen Geräten nutzen. Und schon ist dieses Problem gelöst.
