Wer auf seinem Smart-TV die #AmazonPrime App öffnet, weil man einen gekauften Film schauen will, und dann eine Werbe-Einblendung für den Abschluss einer Prime-Mitgliedschaft sieht, sollte aufpassen.

Jedweder Klick auf diesem Bildschirm mit der Fernbedienung führt zum Abschluss der Prime-Mitgliedschaft - selbst wenn es ein Klick auf den Text "Ohne Prime-Mitgliedschaft weitermachen" ist, neben dem das Symbol der Zurück-Taste prangt. #DarkPatterns #Enshittification #Täuschung

My family and I canceled our #amazonprime subscription

- Billionaires are appalling monsters and a blight on the world
- Amazon seems to treat its workers abysmally
- The experience of shopping on the site has gotten worse and worse
- We've found other providers for our regularly-ordered products
- I'm happy to support our local bookstore via bookshop.org

Willkommen im Club! :wink: Bleibt anzufügen: Es lebt sich sogar ausgesprochen gut "ohne". Auf X war ich nie, den letzten Meta-Mist bin ich Anfg. '22 losgeworden, Account bei Amazon hab ich vor ein paar Wochen gelöscht - bestellt hab ich da ohnehin schon lange nicht mehr.

Man muss nur seine Gewohnheiten abschütteln. :wink:

The Trade Union Confederation labeled Amazon a major threat to Democracy last year. AND around the same time Amazon starting making noise that Alexa wasnt profitable enough. AND I took that as a cue that it was both past time to start detangling myself from Amazon. AND that Alexa enshitification on the Echo ecosystem was coming.

AND Amazon has been doing a good job of proving me right in most headlines theyve been involved with these past few months.

After decades, today was the day our Prime Membership expired. We opted to not renew. We have been Amazon customers for gosh, close to when they first started up as a business. Spent tens of thousands over the years. No more. Just disgusted with Bezos. We of course dumped the Washington Post also. #AmazonPrime #USPol
