Es gibt ja vermutlich kaum etwas Brisanteres an einem Computer als ein #BIOS- oder #Firmware-Update. #Asus wollte hier heute so etwas durchführen.
Wenn ich mir anschaue, wie wenig Mühe die sich hier beim Text gegeben haben, habe ich direkt kein gutes Gefühl. Dass der Balken dann letztlich bis 101% lief, hat das Vertrauen ins System nicht gerade gesteigert.
Mein #Laptop hat wieder dieses Nicht-Hoch-und Runterfahr-Problem.

Vorgestern hatte ich leichte Ausläufer der beschriebenen Fisematenten festgestellt (Uhrzeit unstimmig), dies dem Shop telefonisch mitgeteilt. Meine Telefongesprächsperson hat gesagt das sei nichts akutes und ich könnte damit weiter arbeiten. -> falsch
Wer hat ne Idee?

j'ai récup à la poubelle un hp élite d'entreprise sous windows 11, que j'aimerais évidemment passer sur debian, sauf qu'il y a un mot de passe sur le bios qui m'empêche d'y accéder, et vu que j'ai récup l'ordi à la schlague je peux pas contacter le constructeur. Le bios est uniquement accessible via windows, c'est protégé via hp secure boot.
Quelles pistes pour virer le mot de passe et booter sur ma clé d'installation la linuxteam ?
J'ai vu la possibilité de démonter l'ordi et enlever la batterie de la carte mère mais j'ai vu des avis divergents sur cette technique.

I finally cracked the problem with gaps between characters.
Turns out any characters in columns C and D are rendered as "graphics" (without a gap) and all others as text (with 1px space between each).
After reorganizing my sprites so logo and UI occupies those columns make them work on any EGA/VGA text mode!
This is some black magic knowledge ;)
