Why I’m slowly but steadily moving away from as much Google (or rather big tech in general) services as I can. Where sensible I want to take back control all the way back “in house”. Quite literally. As a matter of fact everything I mention here, and the very blog you’re reading this on is hosted on my home server safely living in my living room media console.

Итак, сегодня я узнал, что толщина донных отложений в Байкале около 6 километров. То есть там, по сути, ЗАТОПЛЕНЫ горы 6-7 километров высотой.
Представляете, сколько воды можно накопить, если снять все эти отложения? Звучит, конечно, крайне неэкологично, нерентабельно и фантастично

Nach etlichen Tests mit Radicale hat sich gezeigt, dass dort nicht alle Standards implementiert sind - insbesondere mit iOS gab es Probleme.
Daher ist es nun doch Baikal geworden - ebenfalls auf dem Raspberry Pi und mit docker-compose, so dass es keinen anderen Diensten in die Quere kommt.
Thunderbird usw. klappt auch, auf Android sicher auch kein Problem mit DAVx5.

Mmhhh, is that stance based on any past dubious behavior by #Baikal Electronics, in previous patches or commits, or is it politics polluting the #FOSS code development?
When States and nationalities influence who may or may not contribute to an open source community, is it still "open source"? Reminds me #GitHub (Microsoft) banning devs from Iran, for being... Iranians.

Kennt jemand ne gute alternative zu Baikal das nicht Nextcloud/Owncloud ist um Adressen und Kontakte zu verwalten? Brauche keine Weboberfläche will es nut mit sem Handy und vdirsyner synchronisieren . Baikal wird von #vdirsyncer über SSL nicht mehr richtig unterstützt.
