I am making a very nice recording, this time in the K Desktop Environment, on one of my master tapes.
I'm recording Herbie Hancock I'll make another post separately about that. The manner in which the Bass player is handling the double bass is amazing!

Was ist die optimale Action für einen Bass?

In einem Video sehe ich gerade, dass der Herstelle auf Anfrage informiert, dass sie folgende Werkseinstellung liefern:

G: 4/64" = 1.58mm
D: 4.5/64" = 1.76mm
A: 5/64" = 1.98mm
E: 5.5/64" = 2.18mm

Gemessen an der frei gespannten Saite, am 12 Bund.

Wenn ich bei meinem Bass messe (mit einem ollen Lineal) komme ich bei allen Saiten auf 3mm.

Macht das wirklich so viel Unterschied? Könnte ich wirklich so vile leichter dadurch spielen, dass ich dadurch sogar besser würde?
Wahrscheinlich nicht.

Mich würde wirklich interessieren, wie wichtig das für andere ist. Aber Umfragen haben bei mir keine Teilnehmer*Innen.
