Today, #Christians endure many similar oppressive forces; hardships, tribulations & even outright #persecution We may feel like Habakkuk, wondering where GOD is @ our darkest hour.

#ProphetSamuel anointed him as Israel's 1st king. Initially, Saul was #humble ~ even doubting being selected 4 such an honorable role.(1Samuel 9:21)
Over time, #KingSaul grew prideful/haughty #jealous esp concerning #David who was a mighty warrior. On 1 occasion, David was honored among the people in song ... MORE SO, than Saul: the beginning of Saul's fall due 2 #PRIDE
Other than our lord Jesus sufferings leading to his crucifixion, there's probably no 1 else in the bible who faced a more extreme trial than #Job
In a short pd of time ~ he lost his wealth, his children died, he contended w/a painful skin disease all over his body & so much more! He truly experienced a fiery test of unimaginable proportions
Like Job, we can trust GOD when we're amid a severe test of Our faith. Remain steadfast & GOD will bless our integrity.
We're all like the #apostlePeter @ times & this comes in many shapes/forms. We may:
be convicted STERNLY by HolySpirit fall short in MAJOR ways STILL be used by God
Like Peter ~ we all NEED correction thru the church, when we read the bible, when HolySpirit readjusts us. We may not deny Christ ~ but we all have times of being more timid about sharing our faith w/others. Like imperfect Peter ~ God STILL amazingly uses imperfect "Us" in His sacred service!
Have U been wronged in a terrible way? Are U in an ugly situation right now? TAKE HEART ~ U are not alone.
Many of God's faithful servants past/present went thru similar trials but in the end, He shifted extremely bad situations toward Good.
Recall Jacob's son #Joseph who was sold into slavery by his brothers, simply because they were jealous of him. He endured many sufferings 4 many years. God eventually blessed him:
#TrustGod & U too, will see deliverance!!
No matter how righteous we are/appear to be, ALL sin Each/Everyday. What is sin? It's falling short of God's perfect standard of righteousness.
When it comes to acknowledging our sins before God: Are we MORE like #AdamAndEve who made excuses or Are we MORE like #David who openly confessed his sins of adultery w/ #Bathsheba having her husband murdered?
We all blame others at times for our sins. Exercise faith in #Jesus & God will #forgive our sins.
When God's anointing upon You is undeniable, NOTHING/NO ONE can stop You ... You cannot contain Your calling; it's irrelevant whether people listen to You or not; suffering for God's namesake doesn't discourage You. 3 of God's faithful servants of old faced these same challenges & were faithful ... YOU are called & chosen to do the same!

How God viewed His servant #Gideon wasnt how Gideon viewed himself. God selected him to defeat the Midianites but Gideon hesitated to follow thru initially, making excuses/downplaying his abilities. How often do WE do This?! God was patient w/him, teaching Gideon that his might/success comes from God Himself.

Eli was a priest when #prophetSamuel walked the earth. Eli had 2 sons #Hophni #Phinehas who committed many wicked acts at the temple as underpriests. As high priest & their father, Eli NEVER corrected them beyond permissively. ALWAYS be zealous & #REPENT of our evil ways!
Ultimately ~ we're All the broken, penitent sinner next to Jesus hanging upon sinful crosses. From the time we're old enough to apply free will, we WILL continue to offend God w/our weaknesses, unrighteousness & willful sin. YES! Until we die, we're all imperfect & we WILL sin!

We're all a little, like the #Samaritanwoman at the well ... a history of sin, misunderstood, rejected/shunned by others, experiencing times of loneliness - Jesus knows our "not so pretty" side & yet Befriends/Loves us in spite of it. Who of us has ever felt fearful as Jesus disciple? ALL OF US! Consider the life of prominent Jewish leader #JosephOfArimathea Initially he followed Jesus in secret. Why? He feared what other Jews thought. Later, GOD emboldened him to cast fear aside, meeting Pontius Pilate to remove Jesus deceased body from the cross.
Fear needn't hold US back from expressing our faith ~ Luke went on to call Joseph good & righteous.

She did what she could ~
Jesus elevated a humble, nameless woman who did a very peculiar thing: She anointed him for burial while he was still alive. Many onlookers mocked & criticized her for her actions; #Jesus however, defended her & said that she did a beautiful thing.
When we're led to do something for our lord ... DONT HOLD BACK! We dont need to understand
what's happening; Jesus just simply asks that we're faithful & obey.

WHAT ABOUT US? We too, may be counted righteous; separating ourselves as Lot, from the unclean thinking & conduct of the world around us. Doing so, will reap God's favor over our life.
