Now I do agree that overall it's less more red. That actually seems to have worked. And the near-blacks are less blown out; the new one actually is closer!

But the 25% greys are just mauve. As is Snohomish County. And the mids are darker when I moved them _less_ than the previous time.

what're you doin' to me here, printer.

oh good, it’s a moving target

the one on the right is home printed and pretty good. the one on left is latest, and LESS mids-shifted and LESS red-shifted than the middle

which means it’s not a consistent printer (or it has some batshit algo for colour matching that absolutely doesn’t work which works out to the same thing

It's not that it's that bad of a bad price now - $17.50.

That's an 80% hike, which is exactly in line with the hike I saw in ink prices a couple of weeks ago, and I knew from previous conversations that their price is based entirely upon ink costs.

So they're not gouging, it's just WHELP

three one-offs for the three bike shops at the very northern edge of Greater Northshore coverage area.

note how they all have left-side extensions, from the megamap. for two of them, it’s absolutely necessary since they’re so far north they're _only_ on the megamap.

i will NOT be making a habit of this xD

Meanwhile the closest to correct water colour is base tint +50%, which is still too green everywhere else.

Basically, this is a weird printer.

I think I'm gonna try +1/8th on the red - maybe just a little shy of that - and +35 to 40% on the contrast. I really like how the non-bike-streets show up really clearly above +25% and I want to see how much of that I can retain _without_ starting to blow out the dark grey text.
