I had botox for migraines today for the first time in 20 years. I had never met the provider who was going to do it but she’s a DO so I was worried she would object to injecting my forehead because I have a mask on. (The DOs I knew before covid were woo woo) I was ready to push back but accept if I had to as long as she did all the other spots.

I was DELIGHTED when she walked in the room and said “oh hello fellow masker I think we are the last ones left!” she was actually shocked when I told her I haven’t had Covid yet. Even after I explained that I’m privileged enough to live alone, no kids, disabled so I don’t work, she was still surprised. #MasksWork

People say botox makes you "fake", but getting my forehead all botoxed up is making my facial expressions come out much closer to how I want them to and how I imagine they look like. I look like how I feel on the inside: cute, expressive, sweet, friendly, and youthful.

Day 3 of botoxed me, and I'm noticing I can hardly make my "11"s and my lines appear even if I try really hard! That smooth serene forehead even under stress is so improving me, inside and out. Can't wait until day 14, when the effect will peak...

Got a bit of a free day today (go Sunday!), so I'm sipping my pinot noir and shopping around for preventive botox. My forehead lines aren't permanent yet but they're getting worse...along with the headaches they bring on. So I'm starting to think I kinda need it...

I'm sold on the benefits of preventive botox. No lines or wrinkles yet, so I don't "need" it, but the only need the new me has is being as beautiful as possible. Can't be sure before a consultation, but I suspect I'll be starting a regimen in the not-too-distant future...
