“Cobblestones in Rain, York” — Rain-slicked cobblestones in York, England.

The weather was rather varied during our brief early June stay in York, England. As I share photographs from the visit, you’ll see some made in lovely sun and others, like this, in more challenging weather. We were out for a wander on this day and clouds eventually turned to rain as we walked near the Yorkminster Church. A picture I wanted to compose for a long time. Last Monday I bought me a used X-E3 and whilest playing with it, I literally stumbled over the desired motif. ;) A few stones were lying half a meter away and before I was near enough to take me picture an older turkish man came along and took two stones lying nearby and put them into the hole. Caring for others who might stumble over the hole.

ed: Thank you very much, you identified the plant so fast: Hernaria glabra. It grows in the cracks of a historic #cobblestone pavement in northern Alsace, eastern France. It can always be found with a certain moss and usually even roots in it with a tiny taproot. The larger plants measure only 2 cm in diameter, the taproot 3 mm. Interesting: It keeps away other plants. 1/2
