It is clear from present events that Elon will throw a tantrum at anyone who doesn't give him what he wants, and he doesn't care what damage that does. This is not who we want the SA gov to be investing our future in. Reject the Tesla development at Marion

“…Americans are living under a new regime. The question now is whether we will allow it to take root.
“So far, American society’s response to this #authoritarian offensive has been underwhelming—alarmingly so. Civic leaders confront a difficult #CollectiveAction problem. A vast majority of American politicians, chief executives, law partners, newspaper editors & university presidents prefer to live in a #democracy & want to end this #abuse.

As we move forward, we must speed up our efforts.
Current policies predict only a 2.6% reduction in emissions by 2030, far from the necessary 28%.

In a world of shifting borders and identities, how can we reimagine immigration as an opportunity for unity and growth rather than division? Let’s embrace our shared humanity. #interconnectedness #collectiveaction
A collective called Everyone Hates Elon has recently become an online sensation thanks to posters it plastered all over London of the world's richest man saluting while driving his "swasticar" with the words "Goes from 0 to 1939 in 3 seconds." @THR spoke to the group's anonymous spokespeople about what they're hoping to achieve.

Too many goddamn people I know: I'm scared and overwhelmed. I feel powerless. I wish there was something I could do.
Me: Start using Signal.
TMGPIK: I mean something that doesn't involve me changing habits.
I swear to FUCK, people!

In this current climate of shifting algorithms and rising authoritarianism, the future of social media—and our collective presence on it—is uncertain. But our work continues. To stay connected and informed beyond these platforms, sign up for our newsletter:

The idea of "human scale" refers to how we relate to the world based on our size and role. Over time, modern #capitalism and global power have shifted this scale, making ordinary people feel small and powerless.
The concentration of wealth and tech have created a system where the 1% hold immense power, while most people's struggles are ignored. However, just like in “Gulliver's Travels”, #CollectiveAction can still challenge these overwhelming forces.

I personally believe that there is a 0% chance of UBI to happen under Trump / Musk.
Still, we must continue spreading the word and pushing for it at every possible opportunity. Together, we can make a difference

"Think about what skills you have. What excites you? What makes you want to get out of bed in the morning? How do you bring that to #CollectiveAction? Maybe it's planting trees or joining a group talking to banks. Even if it seems like a tiny thing, it's still a piece of how we can change the world"
Cruel and ineffective policies and the culture of inaction from neoliberal governments often leave people to fend for themselves.
#FluConf2025 has a dedicated track for Solidarity Networks and Community Health, through which we aim to promote bottom-up efforts to organize our own social safety nets.
We want to hear from people raising awareness about policy vacuums, building coalitions between adjacent camps, and working at the margins to address underserved demographics. Share your stories about public infrastructure, mutual aid, boycotts, unionization, strikes, legal defense, debt-forgiveness, and other forms of collective action.
How are you countering misinformation about public health topics? How do we build resilience in our communities and welcome newcomers? How can we take care of each other in the wake of wars, climate disasters, lgbtq persecution, and unnecessary poverty.

With the amount of time I spend reading Wikipedia articles, Anarcho-Syndicalism has caught my attention. I've come to see that it aligns with my views on decentralization, workers’ rights, no bosses, and no hierarchy telling anyone what to do. It’s all about workers organizing and managing things themselves.
Anarcho-syndicalism is built on three key ideas: solidarity, direct action, and self-management. It emphasizes workers standing together, taking action without relying on politicians, and running things collectively through democratic unions.
Rudolf Rocker, a major figure in this movement, dedicated his life to organizing workers and promoting these principles. He believed in solidarity across communities and showed how workers could take control of their own lives through collective action. He was also a member of the International Workers Association #IWAAIT https://www.iwa-ait.org
