surprise surprise: #ElonMusk's #X will hold its money at America's shadiest bank as it attempts to turn itself into a #fintech platform.

The bank in quesiton is Cross River Bank (CRB) in #NewJersey which was responsible for such an incredible amount of #covid relief fraud that there's a several hundred page congressional report about it.

Cross River also took ~$100 million in investment from the malaysian police inspector in charge of "investigating" the several billion dollar #1MDB fraud in ##Malaysia (one of the biggest financial frauds in history)... in between taking rounds of investment from #MarcAndreessen's #a16z. CRB were (and probably still are) #Coinbase's bank and are rabidly #Zionist and connected to the #Netanyahu regime.

@Barbramon1 @ned not only that, there was a staggering amount of fraud with the #PPP loan program, much of it originating from a tiny handful of community banks that also happened to be incredibly crypto friendly...

The best estimates I've seen are that 10-20% of the PPP loans were outright fraud and 8-14% of all covid relief money ended up in the cryptocurrency market. That's hundreds of billions of dollars (at a minimum).

I’ve been talking about the connections between the #Netanyahu family and some of the sketchiest characters in the crypto industry (esp. #Tether co-founder #BrockPierce) for years so I was glad to see #UdiLevy, the former head of #Mossad's economic unit #Tzalsel, starting to ask the same questions of #Qatargate.

Among other things Netanyahu's niece is a part owner of #Bancor, a defi lending platform that imploded in 2022 in hilarious fashion.

Re: #AryehDeri, the man who triggered the mass protests in Israel in 2023, Deri was seen at the groundbreaking for #BrixSoftware, major vendor for #CrossRiverBank, the single largest purveyor of covid relief fraud in the US. CRB received massive investment from #MarcAndreessen's #a16z, both before and after a massive “investment” from a Malaysian police chief who somehow had hundreds of millions of dollars to invest after he “investigated” the #1MDB fraud.

@wackJackle @GhostOnTheHalfShell USDC is almost definitely backed by dollars. the funds are in trust at blackrock (Tether is another matter, though i tend to lean more towards "the money Tether has is dirty" than "Tether doesn't have the money")

as far as how to mint #USDC, you open an account at Circle, send them $100, and they send 100 USDC to your wallet address. practically speaking due to the close relationship of Circle and #Coinbase this all happens in the Coinbase app - you wire money to Coinbase at #CrossRiverBank (that's a whole other topic but suffice it to say it's a bank that got a 100 page Congressional report devoted to the ways it facilitated truly epic amounts of covid relief fraud) and Coinbase puts 100 USDC in your trading account.
