@arstechnica So here's the question. Part of my web agency's service offering is #PDFRemediation for #DigitalAccessibility. This requires #Adobe #Acrobat, which is only available on Windows. While we can run Windows in VirtualBox on Linux, as far as I'm aware there's no PDF software natively available im Linux that can replace the Windows version of Acrobat.
Maybe I have a knowledge gap (who doesn't!). Can anyone suggest a solution?
I'm curious to hear what others are #SelfHosting! Here's my current setup:

Authentication & Identity Management
Productivity & Personal Tools
Notifications & Development Workflow
Accessibility Focus ️
Accessibility heavily influences my choices—I use a screen reader full-time (#ScreenReader), so I prioritize services usable without sight (#InclusiveDesign, #DigitalAccessibility). Always open to discussing accessibility experiences or recommendations!
I've also experimented with:
I don't really have a media collection, so no Plex or Jellyfin here (#MediaServer)—but I'm always open to suggestions! I've gotten a bit addicted to exploring new self-hosted services!
What's your setup like? Any cool services you'd recommend I try?

In recent years there have been one or two talks on accessibility at Stir Trek, except in 2024 there were none. Someone submit a good presentation and get on the schedule for 2025!
I’ve got to say, I’m really impressed with #Firefox so far! I’ve been using it for the last few hours, and it’s been running like a dream. Right
now, I’ve got 7 tabs open (and at times even more), yet there’s been no slowness or performance issues whatsoever. It’s shaping up to be an excellent browsing
experience—smooth, fast, and reliable!

Users with ADHD often suffer from an extreme lack of focus that can uncover hidden product issues. Building for ADHD will make your product better for everyone.
Public universities are facing increasing legal scrutiny, and the recent updates to ADA Title II are no exception. In this session we will share an overview of the new ADA Title II requirements and invite discussion on how these new requirements may necessitate a transformation of digital accessibility compliance initiatives.
