Huh, I just accidentally found out I have no #criminal history in #california.

They can only look back seven years, and I went to #jail about seven years ago.

I told a place I had a record while doing the interviews for an internship, who did a background check and said they didn't find anything, and that next time I apply somewhere I can say I don't have a record if not hired by them.

They don't care anyway cuz it was for #drugs and it's a recovery counselor internship!

If you need to explain to some dumbass why Trump's drugs policy is complete BS:

"He will threaten to raise tariffs until Europeans agree to pay more for drugs.
Once foreign nations give in, American pharmaceutical companies will start making more money overseas, and thus will be happy to charge Americans lower prices."

"To describe this theory as economically illiterate would be too kind."

"Two months into recriminalization, it was hard to discern any visible change in the downtown drug market. People smoked fentanyl in plain sight and clustered at the usual spots: around the public library, the Burnside Street McDonald’s, along Alder Strett, in the parking lot beneath the closed Montessori school." —Jason Motlagh for @RollingStone

A person is using fentanyl on Park Avenue following the decriminalisation of all drugs in downtown Portland, Oregon on January 23, 2024. Since hard drugs were decriminalised in Oregon three years ago, there are no arrests, just a fine and a card with a telephone number where the user can get help. In February 2021, possession and use of all drugs -- including cocaine, heroin, ecstasy and fentanyl -- was decriminalised in the western state. Sale and production remains punishable. There were an estimated 80,391 drug overdose deaths in the U.S. last year — a drop of of 26.9% from the 110,037 deaths estimated in 2023.

And who was president in 2024 ? Yes it was Joseph Robinet Biden , whose administration had facilitated access to alternative treatment and made naxolone, an overdose drug, a cornerstone of its anti-drug policy( and not the #racistrapistfelon with whom all progress will be lost )
