Great crowd in Kirkland, WA today! Lots of honking support from drivers.
There was a good showing at the #HandsOff #FiftyFiftyOne protest in Coeur d'Alene, #Idaho .
I think a large "No Honking" sign would be a good idea for the next protest.
Police were pulling people over for honking and issuing citations. There is a law regarding this but the action and show of force appeared outside the spirit of the law in my opinion.

The crowd was not as big today at the protest/rally at the Capitol grounds, and not quite as energetic. I'd say somewhere between half and 2/3 the size of the April 5th one (but I'm not good at estimating crowd sizes).
It was still a good turnout considering there were more locations this time, and it's Easter weekend so a lot of people may have been traveling and doing family gathering stuff instead.
In 2004 I was serving at US Embassy Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
I attended a graduation ceremony for Uzbek military members that had finished language training...some had learned English, others had learned French.
The French Air Attache was also there, and he told me about some Uzbek military officers that he had hosted in France as part of an exchange program.
One day they were driving through a French city. On a street corner was a group of people engaging in peaceful protest, holding signs.
The Uzbek officers immediately grew angry.
Why?...asked the Air Attache.
This is an outrage! In our country we would fix this problem immediately! We would never allow this to happen!
Freedom of speech, including the freedom to protest...is incredibly important.
