Star of Bethlehem
I first noticed these in our yard four years ago. There was only one plant then. Last year they didn't come up in the same place but several plants came up. This year they have moved again and there are now two clusters in different places.

We wondered where they came from. A couple of weeks ago I found a cluster along the sidewalk on a nearby street when I was out walking. I guess they're native to this area.

A flower with six white petals. In the center four stamens are standing tall with yellow pollen pods on top. The flower is at the end of a long stem. Other flowers and buds are visible nearby.
