June, a few years ago. Carpathian forest and meadows. The lower half of the frame shows a meadow covered with tall colorful grasses and single small trees. The upper part of the frame is a vast forest and above it a blue sky with a few clouds. In the meadow, on the left side of the frame, grows a huge tree.

Not everyone loves the golden colors of autumn.
When all ferns are already thinking about winter, these two rebelled.

Late autumn. Beech forest from a frog's perspective. The bottom two-thirds of the frame are covered with brown leaves. The upper part of the frame is occupied by the blurry trunks of old beech trees. Between the trunks you can see the few golden-orange leaves still left on the trees. Between the old beech tree trunks grows a small beech tree, several years old, which still has many golden leaves. In the foreground, on the right, there are growing two small, still completely green ferns. The focus of the photo is set on the ferns. The rest of the photo is blurred.

Sulphur tuft - PL: Maślanka wiązkowa - (Hypholoma fasciculare)

The road to nowhere.

Autumn's very colorful forest, in brown, orange, gold and green hues. The left and top edges of the frame are surrounded by a limestone rock that is in slight shadow. On the right side, against the background of the rock, there are several beech trees. In the upper right corner of the frame, in the back, you can see golden-orange tree leaves. In the center of the frame, there are limestone boulders, covered partially with brown leaves and overgrown with moss and small tree seedlings. The leaves of the small trees are still green. From the bottom of the frame to its center leads a path covered with dry leaves, which quickly narrows and ends in front of the rocks in the center of the frame. There is no further way.

Two mushrooms. That's what I see. But do you have any idea what species it is? I reviewed 3 mushroom identification guides, but without success. No idea... I know that not all the features are visible, but I would be grateful for any hints.

I am addicted to the colors of autumn.
Polish Jurassic Highland a week ago.

The photo shows an afternoon autumn forest. The forest floor is covered entirely with a rusty-brown carpet of autumn leaves with the large trunks of beech trees growing out of it. In the upper right of the frame are the intensely golden-yellow leaves of the further beech trees that grow below. The central part of the frame's background is a large limestone rock going down the slope, partially covered with moss and young trees.

The moss carpet is our home.
Sulphur tuft - PL: Maślanka wiązkowa - (Hypholoma fasciculare)

In the lower left corner of the photo is a tree stump entirely covered with moss. Two groups of fungi grow from this stump (Sulphur tuft). One on top of the stump and the other on the right side at the bottom. At the foot of the stump are a few rust-brown beech leaves. Behind the stump, the entire forest floor is covered with orange-brown autumn leaves. At the top of the frame, the out-of-focus lower parts of the forest trunks are visible.

I forgot to be golden-brown

Fly agaric (Fly amanita) - PL: Muchomor czerwony - (Amanita muscaria)
Photo from last Saturday.

The photo shows a close-up of a fly agaric cap. The deep red cap, with typical white spots, is not fully formed and is spherical in shape. Under the cap a bright white stem, growing out of a distinct volva. The entire frame around the mushroom is covered with golden-brown, dry beech leaves.

October always uses the best colors to paint the forest. I took this photo two years ago and I plan to visit the same forest soon. I'll see what mushrooms this fall will paint.

The photo shows a rotten tree stump from above. Most of the frame is taken up by small, brown-gold mushroom caps. The mushrooms grow very close together, forming an irregular island on the stump. In several places the mushrooms are accompanied by rusty-brown autumn beech leaves.
