Daniel Colquitt
As I approached the end of the year, my todo list got entirely out of control — 100s of oustanding tasks. This has been rapidly increasing my anxiety. On a positive note, I’ve just spent a cathartic couple of hours clearing my todo list & deleting non-essential tasks. It is amazing how many, apparently, urgent and critical tasks fade away and turn out to be utterly unimportant. I seem to have this epiphany at this time every year — my New Year’s resolution is to remember this!
#productivity #gtd

Minoru
This was a long time coming, but I finally started re-negotiating my commitments. I hate it. They all stem from my inner beliefs about what I ought to do, and it's painful to admit that I'm currently unable to fulfill them. Before GTD, I ignored many commitments and felt bad about it. With GTD, I postpone them instead; it looks the same on the outside, but I feel noticeably less guilt. It was a bit weird at first, but it does help.
