I bought an external display with 2 #USB-A ports that connects via #thunderbolt. Let's ignore that #Linux does not detect its builtin speakers, since they're the crappiest ever, maybe even worse than my laptop's. I connected my wireless (not BT) mouse and USB-A keyboard to it and everything seemed fine. But since sometimes I need an extra USB-A cable or two (mostly something to charge my phone and maybe connect a USB stick or SD card adapter).../1

I really hope that the battery life of the @starlabssystems StarFighter ends up being significantly better than that of the StarLite Mk V. The tablet hardware is nice, and it performs well, albeit staying very warm while web browsing. But it dies way too quickly to be useful in any way. Even as a couch device, I find myself reaching for my laptop more often than not just because I know the tablet will be dead in an hour or so.
I've mentioned this a few times before, and this will sound harsh, but claiming that this tablet gets 12 hours of battery life is simply a lie. They've tried to explain it to me before, and I haven't understood. I think they may be measuring it in suspend mode or something. Which is odd and very misleading.
Anyway, I've never owned an actual laptop from them, and so hopefully their more premium offering will be better.
