Anyone else here found a four leaf clover this year? I just found my first one this year. !! 😊🥳😊Do I feel lucky? In a way.

Last year I found none. 😩2024 sucked.

I found my first one at age 26, after my ethnic Irish MIL taught me to. Before that I didn’t believe they existed.

#FolkloreThursday: `There are many stories of the #Irish Wolfhound in #mythology. The most famous hounds are, without doubt, #Fionn’s two favourites, Bran and Sceolán. They were said to have been so tall, that their heads reached chest height to a man. Bran was described as ‘ferocious, white-breasted, sleek-haunched, with fiery deep black eyes that swim in sockets of blood’. Sceolán was slightly smaller, ‘small-headed, with the eyes of a dragon, claws of a wolf, vigour of a lion, and the venom of a serpent’. They feature as prominently in the exploits of the Fianna as do the warriors themselves.` #Celtic #NationalPetsMonth

Rory's currently up 4 strokes on the nearest chaser at 14 under going into the 12th hole (#AmenCorner) at the #Masters in his quest to complete the #CareerGolfGrandSlam!!!! 👏👏👏

I'm not #Irish, nor do I play #golf.

I just like to watch people who can play this difficult game play it at a level few can achieve.

The last pro-golfer to achieve the Career Golf Grand Slam was #Tiger in 2000. Before that, Nicholas did achieved that in 1966.

So, this is a rare event!!!

Go Rory!!!! 🥳🥳🥳🥳

I was in Hodges Figgis (which is the bookshop Waterstones in #Dublin) looking for my book of essays by #Irish #Autistic adults. I couldn't find it in new non fiction. But where did I find it? There, on the bestseller stand, proudly standly at number 2. I NEVER expected a book of autistic voices to be so popular in the mainstream. Makes me hopeful. Times are changing ❤

Last evening I sort of stumbled over a Highland Session clip where they sang Mo Ghille Mear. This morning I looked for it, found an amazing version and went to buy a whole album of that choir:

Invisible Stars: Choral Works of Ireland & Scotland - album download
UCD Choral Scholars, Desmond Earley

And 5 minutes later I sort of managed to play it on the harp.
