The last DFO #Science mission of the year on our research ship Limnos is usually a #LakeOntario Mysid cruise. We are sampling fall zooplankton and Mysis diluviana (oppossum shrimp) which is an important prey species in the #GreatLakes. In late Oct / early Nov the weather is often poor, and we were blown of the lake for most of this week (crew very ill with rough seas). The crew got two transects in this weekend and even caught some #fishes. Night sampling is required for Mysis under red lights.🏮
