On 8 May, Ukraine pays tribute to the victims of World War II on the Time/Day of Remembrance and Reconciliation, and on 9 May Ukrainians remember the Allied defeat of Nazism in World War II.
Millions of Ukrainians died in that war.
Today, as Russia wages a brutal full-scale invasion, the words “Never again” echo with painful irony.
We remember all who gave their lives—then and now. The red poppy is the symbol of these days.
