Lionsgate, the studio behind "John Wick" and "The Hunger Games," has signed a deal with artificial intelligence firm Runway that will allow its content to be used to train a new generative AI model. That tech will then be used to “help Lionsgate Studios, its filmmakers, directors and other creative talent augment their work,” according to a joint press release by the companies. This move comes in spite of union action over the use of AI, and a new California law to regulate performance replicas. Here's more from the Hollywood Reporter.

#FrancisFordCoppola claps back in the new #trailer for #Megalopolis announcing its #theatrical release by #Lionsgate #Movies on September 27, 2024 in #IMAX.

This trailer is the best I've seen so far for what should at least be a visually appealing spectacle, even if the #film is a narrative mess, as described.

I just emailed my local IMAX #theater at #MODS in #FortLauderdale asking if they're going to show this #movie (and re-release #Dune2)) 🤞🏿

1. Outliers can completely overrun the data

That ONE person would currently completely overwhelm the #Langley or #LionsGate treatment plants' signals, for example!
