Since I re-built my notes system with #Emacs and Denote, I'm going through my years of #Logseq notes, just to save the most fleshed out ones and put them into my new system.

I have today realised that for some reason some notes in Logseq are not showing up anymore. The md files are still there, the notes are there as well but they show as empty.

Re-indexing does nothing at all. They are basically invisible to the program, as if they are empty.

Very glad of my move, on many different levels.

TL;DR:
- you can't edit the #Markdown files directly
- #orgdown support is lost
- EDN export is introduced besides MD export
- sync and RTC require a subscription
- practically, you can't run the sync on your own
- #Zotero no longer part of the core app

If this holds true, I can't endorse use of logseq any more.

I need to migrate other people's setups I was maintaining to a different solution. Too bad as it was the only good #PIM tool option I could find outside #Emacs #orgmode.

I've just literally recreated #Logseq endless journal page in #Emacs thanks to Denote and dblocks!

With the bullet #journaling method included! (Each new entry inside a day's note is a heading with just the current time).

I've been looking for a way to achieve this in a long time. Actually if I didn't bother with Org-roam and went with Denote right away it would have been so much better.

The fact that Denote is basically just extra functions on top of org-mode is a great paradigm.

Opties zijn Joplin of Logseq. Ben ook de notitie-functie van Murena aan het checken. Iemand die daarmee ervaring heeft? Plussen/minnen?
Must have: notitieboeken, snelkoppelingen, intern linken, tekstopmaak, op meerdere devices. Nice to have: tekenen. Niet nodig: Taken en agenda

Attempting to do/learn zettelkasten note taking, Logseq and a new domain – for which the notes are about – all at the same time might be a bit much, but I really want the cross-referencing.

I'm working hard this week on #SOURCE issue two, an experimental quarterly "pay as you feel" magazine about #opensource. As a sneak peak we'll be looking at getting started with #godot, using #logseq and #syncthing for a 2nd brain system, simple ways to contribute to #openstreetmap and the #termux application for android! The #logseq devs finally merged their famous DB backend into Main. Hope they can now refocus on making the best personal knowledge management system even better. It's been too long.
