When you spend more than 2 hours setting a complex composition of miniature figurines with unstable props, making multiple attempts at shooting a sequence of photos for focus stacking, then sort and clean the props and the mini studio, import photos in Lightroom, and… see everything is in JPEG… 😭

Been driving myself bonkers - designing a miniature thing in my head.

Today had the epiphany that because it needs to be relatively sturdy but not a fully functioning replica of anything - I can just make it out of cardboard and it will still be great.

Huzzah !

Now I just need to master using an exacto/craft knife without slicing myself ...

Started knitting and crocheting something with 2 mm needles and have decided that is the limit for my hands / fingers / eyes.

Anything lower is basically making lace / and or creating with wire and needle tools.

I have great admiration for those creating in more miniature than that - but it's not for me.

Nope.

“The flowering of the carnations”

If you thought the flowers opened by themselves, you had no idea.

Eventually, you thought it was little fairies like Tinkerbell who took care of them. But that's in children's movies.

The reality is more pragmatic, there are specialized workers for that, simply.
