An overlooked gem on Nottingham University Campus, a restored flower garden on a sandstone rock formation, restored at the end of the 00's, but unknown who actually created the original structure of rocky paths. Now it's a haven for pollinators, with a small water feature, ~ 500+ bees today. #nature #nottingham #flowers

#Nottingham City #Transport (NCT) is upgrading its long-distance Pathfinder 26 route with six new ultra-low emission Wrightbus StreetDeck Ultroliner double-deckers. Built in Northern Ireland, the buses will be in service by late autumn and feature high-back seats, Wi-Fi, USB chargers, two wheelchair spaces, a table on the upper deck, hearing loops, and next stop displays. The new diesel vehicles cut NOx emissions by 80% and are ULEB-accredited. While electric buses aren't currently viable for this long route, the new buses can be converted to electric in future. NCT’s David Astill praised the upgrade, and Wrightbus CEO Jean-Marc Gales highlighted the buses' efficiency and future-proof design. Pathfinder 26 runs every 30 minutes on weekdays and Saturdays, connecting Nottingham with Southwell and surrounding areas. Fares are capped at £3 under a government scheme.

Stopped off in town, Broadmarsh area. Sat on a rock for a bit and read my book.

I don't often go into town these days, but I was reminded of this nice little garden area when the May Day march met round the corner the other week, and I thought I would have a rest there today before coming home.

Lovely to see the flowers growing there now. I really like that the city council went in that direction for that bit of the land.
