I never did one of these, so lets give it a shot.

Hello! I'm Wes, and I wear many hats. By day I am an IT Guru at a local self driving car company, by night I am a Photographer / Videographer operating in the Music (Pittsburgh) and Fandom (Conventions) areas.

I run with Windows as my main desktop, but Linux automates much of my life. At home I am
OS agnostic. I have used Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android and iOS in my day to day. I script and code and automate.

I'm currently watching a lot of Anime, and addicted to MCU and in general special effects heavy movies/shows. I am a Trekkie, Farscaper, and Serenity-ite

I like to play games with automation / factory type play style. I also play Minecraft (run a server with help), Shapez2 (alpha), and in general don't have as much time to play as I like.

My music tastes are everywhere. Before I moved to Pittsburgh, it was varied. Today with all the work I do with musicians it has only grown more. One day I can chill in the Darkwave scene, the next catch a local folk artist complete with a Uke in tow.

I attend at least 3 Fandom Conventions a year (because I volunteer at them):

- katsucon.org
- station-unity.org

If you go to any of them, say hi. I also have been tossing around with going to cosplay conventions as wesmasonmedia.com.

My Wife (@Rach) is on here too, she is a wonderful person and the two of us actively work to help our cat survive his nature.

I have three kids who can't be bothered with another social media platform. That may change, but for now that is what it is.

Surprisingly, this was taken with an iPhone. (It was still taken in RAW file format, so I had access to more light data when editing) but I’m constantly impressed with how far phone cameras have come.

I mean seriously! Raw photos taken on a phone? You wouldn’t have been able to convince me it would get this good when I got my first DSLR

A brick-walled hallway, lined with purple LED lights, extends forward towards infinity at the center of the frame. The LED lights are easily mistaken as fluorescent bulbs as they’re over exposed and roughly the same length. Their purple hue colors the entire image in shades of lavender and violet which only serves as a surreal compliment to the foggy haze filling the hallway. A silhouetted figure stands ominously in the center of the photo framed by the over-exposed exit in the distance behind them. The figure is dressed in a dark, hooded robe (made a deep indigo color in the lighting) resembling depictions of the Grim Reaper. However this person blocking your way forward wields a double-headed axe instead of the Reaper’s usual scythe. All you can make of the figure’s face is a pale forehead. Their eyes are too dark to make out - or they’re sunken into their sockets… is it a bare skull? No it must be a trick of the light.

Today my only out-of-home task is my counseling appointment, and I get to tell about giving the "I'm transitioning" speech to my folks, so that session will prob seem to go fast.

At home, my plans are to clean up as much of everything as I can, inside and garden, and pack the least amount of things for my weekend in #pgh for the #biohacking con.

I am already checked-in for my flight Friday, I have allergy-safe food reserved for both my flight East and my return, and my rideshare to the airport at 5am (oy, i know) is scheduled.
