Love how the Scouts came out. I still suck at photographing minis. Calling them done!

Brimstone Horrors got their last coat of paint on their base for a while. I need to restock texture paint to move forward.
I'll paint other miniatures before finishing them, so they will be on hold for a while.
Nurglings! The party has arrived!
A pox party. A gross gala. A bubonic bash. A shingles shindig.
And little butts.
Two and a half seconds back into hobbying (LED-panel for lighting is still missing).
Still sorting out my new space. Come about two Salamander Terminators I started before my forced break without magnets on their bases. Think to myself "this I can fix even without great light!".
Glue myself to them. GlUe mYSelF tO ThEm.
TWO AND A HALF SECONDS.
Up to a great start!
Stopping for the day to finish my Pirates of the Caribbean watch marathon I started last night.
Really happy with how Frogdog is coming out. Will pick it back up tomorrow. Tomorrow is focusing on details.
It's nice to have an entirely non-critical little dev project to play with again. This was a bit of fun to potter about with on a sunny Saturday in the garden--pulling my image posts from Mastodon into a single small gallery and badging them according to how they were tagged. No JS required, all static.
More progress on the barbarian. I did some touch up on the skin and added highlights. Then I tried some non metallic metal on the sword (first try) and well, I think I failed it. I went in quite clueless and it shows. Will have to rework it. #HeroQuest #MiniaturePainting #Nerdlings #PaintingMiniatures #BoardGames #wip
I've seen a few different people recently re-start personal blogs and it made me want to tinker with static site tools again... I've also been wondering how many little painting projects I've started and just left half-done here on Mastodon (11. The answer is currently _11_).
So... still very much a WIP (another, add it to the count), but technically this works, syncing up Mastodon toots and stats as purely static content:
https://youtu.be/Lz6izRYivf0?si=YiSZnPdbQsE4aR0B New video is on YouTube. This week I show how to paint camouflage patterns onto minis. Ideal for making your snipers disappear on the tabletop.

Ugh after some unasked advice about how to improve the NMM my brain went 'apparently it's shit' and I spent more time on the NMM.
No, my people, it's not going to get better. I'm learning slowly, and this model is too complex for me, and oil paint is complex stuff.
A Howler 'Mech painted in an exotic biome/night camo pattern. The speckled, pointillist application is inspired by flecktarn camo.
Nahdar Vebb for my next Star Wars Shatterpoint strike team. It was very fun to paint a more alien type of body!

The final figurine of my first Star Wars Shatterpoint strike team, General Grievous. It was such a great piece to paint!

Kraken Super Tactical Droid from Star Wars Shatterpoint, painted with oil paints.

My first figurine painted only with oil paints. I've been wanting to try oil paints for a very long time and I finally jumped the fence, joined @wappellious 's patreon, learned the basics and bought some oil paints. I did a lot of mistakes but I'm happy with the results and more importantly I had a lot of fun and I want to paint more with oil paints!
My first bust, Luke Skywalker. It's a resin 3D print that was gifted to me some time ago and I finally took the time to paint it. Since it's my first time painting a human face at that scale I went for something simple but maybe a bit bland. Next time I'll try to add more ambiance to my piece.
3 Troggoths for my Gloomspite Gitz spearhead, they were so much fun to paint and I'm really happy with the results for the time invested.
