Inside a building in Kenilworth Castle, the long shadow of a tall window embrasure with stone crossings falls on the stump of a stone pillar. The floor is gravel, the far wall is red sandstone with an open doorway top right with the sun shining through and green country beyond.

A rather ornate (ex) doorway with pillars and fancy brickwork, with a little peaked gable. There are hanging baskets each side of the door. The glass panels in the door have many stickers on them with various awards, including Michelin 2021. Other signs say "No deliveries to this door" and "Please use other door". Fading leaves from potted Hosta plants. The leaves are almost oval shaped, asymmetrical and pointed. Their colour varies from green with white edges (the summer colour) through yellows to browns. Most have damage, holes made by slugs or caterpillars. They have small raindrops on them. Portrait format colour photo.

Low bridge. This is a defunct railway bridge, now carrying a "greenway". Taken on a group walk; we didn't actually go under the bridge, but over a style to the right, just before.

Black and white photo of a country road snaking in an S-bend under a rather beautiful brick-built low bridge (11 feet, 6 inches clearance in the centre). The parapet of the bridge is out of frame at the top, but the gap for the road is a lovely half oval shape.

That half-timbered cottage again. I like that so much about this rustic building style is visible here. The thatch of course; the timbers which are the structural elements, the white panels (originally wattle and daub), the stolen stones from the Abbey, the brick panels every which way, and the tiny window!
