Hey nerds. Let's try a palette cleanser. My current cell setup is 1 page. Maximum information density. I used to use 3 panels but I got tired of swiping + Google's busted gesture implementation. The wallpaper is a rainbow stripe. Everything that requires taps for input is on the bottom half of the screen for accessibility. The launcher I'm using is Lawnchair 2. #Pixel #HomeScreen

This morning the phone app on my #Android #Pixel asked if I wanted to turn on scam detection. I was in the middle of dealing with a billion things, so I didn't read carefully enough and said yes. It brought me to the settings screen, which says, "Download the Android AI Core model to use this feature" and immediately started the download.
Wait, this is AI crap? No thank you.
But there's no way to stop the download and no way to turn off the feature until the download is finished.

Android gurus - is there any app that will let me customize an alarm (on a rooted #Google #Pixel running stock #Android 14) by power source status?

The problem I'm trying to solve is that I want to set a single alarm to go off at 10:40pm - but only if the phone is on battery. If it's plugged in, the alarm should *not* sound.

I cannot find a way to use DND for this, and the stock Android doesn't have a knob to enable / disable alarms based on power source. I'd love to find a lightweight solution if possible!
