OK, I have a computer question... I have a mini PC with an M.2 SSD as its main drive running Windows 11.

I would like to take out that drive, put a new one in, and install Linux Mint.

Should that work? Is there anything I need to check first? Is there a realistic chance that swapping the SSDs back would not let me use the PC as it is now again?

Are there other local store-front businesses in the fediverse, specifically in Centertown and the Glebe but also Ottawa in general?

on the other networks, there is a private group that shares photos of thieves to give other businesses a head's up

we were wondering if there were others here who would appreciate us sharing such information?

reason is: we caught some pretty grevious examples of blatant thieving on our new video cameras, following our suspicions, and want to make good use of the footage

we also really want to put up full-page sized prints of their faces in a frame on our "Wall of Shame" to deter others, but have #questionsOverLegality

Question for y’all: Jess and I are planning a friends & family thing for next summer. Is there some kind of website, app, etc. where people can easily post their availability within a given time frame?

I’ve used Doodle in the past but it’s too finicky for what I want here. I want to message everyone and say “here’s a link, fill in a 7-day stretch somewhere between June and July where you and your squad are available.”

Does something like this exist? #questions

This is a pretty pink flower.

The scientist asks, why is it pink?

The artist asks, why is it pretty?

The botanist asks, what kind of flower is it?

The psychologist asks, what does it make you think of?

The therapist asks, how does it make you feel?

The salesman asks, how much can I sell it for?

The capitalist asks, if I own all the flowers can I raise the price?

The politician asks, what are you willing to give up so that you can have flowers?

The programmer asks, how can I simulate the flower?

The meteorologist asks, how much rain and sun does the flower need?

The geneticist asks, will the descendants of this flower be as pretty?

The chef asks, is it edible?

The painter asks, how do I reproduce the hues and values?

The designer asks, what goes with this flower?

The child doesn't ask anything, and just enjoys the flower.

Are you more of a morning person, afternoon person, night person or something different?
