#SpaceX to invest $2B in #Musk #xAI

SpaceX has committed $2B to xAI as part of a $5B equity round, deepening the ties between #tech billionaire Elon Musk's ventures as his #AI startup races to compete w/ #OpenAI, the WSJ reported on Sat.

The investment follows xAI's merger with #X & values the combined company at $113B, with the #Grok #chatbot now powering #Starlink support & eyed for future integration into #Tesla's #Optimus #robots, the report added.

Ground drone maker Tencore raises $3.7 million in one of the largest known investments in Ukraine defense tech

#Tencore produces the TerMIT unmanned ground vehicle, which meets #NATO standards and is already being used in #combat against #Russian forces.

The #robots can transport supplies, evacuate wounded #soldiers, clear #mines, and provide fire support. The company has built over 800 units and aims to reach 2,000 by year-end.

RacknRoll & Robots - I will showcase my art and start an exhibition on october 25 in the RacknRoll Billards Cafe in Remscheid. Showing some of my pictures that fit the theme of the event, I will have to choose which ones, but most probably robots and cyberpunk. Also there is Becker Robotics showcasing robots and the photography group Fotofreunde Bergisch Land, they also will show fotos on the topic.

Tesla cars are in a pickle, and so too is the Optimus humanoid robot program. The company sold around 5,000 Cybertruck models in Q2 of this year. Optimus has lost its head of program and delayed production since, according to @electrek, "the robot has yet to prove useful in Tesla's factories."
