#Clouds are collections of fine #waterdroplets that have formed around #condensationnuclei and move within the Earth's #atmosphere. They are visible for us due to the #Tyndalleffect. The influence of clouds on #globalwarming is complex and subject of current #research (link Nature Geoscience editorial, 2024). The ESA/JAXA/NICT #satellite #EarthCARE studies the #influence of clouds on Earth's #climate.

#Trump ally #ElonMusk's #rocket & #satellite company #SpaceX has emerged as a frontrunner alongside #software firm #Palantir & #drone maker #Anduril to build key components of the system, Reuters reported last month.

Many of the early systems are expected to come from existing production lines. Attendees at the WhiteHouse presser w/Trump on Tues named #L3Harris, #LockheedMartin & #RTXCorp as potential contractors for the massive project.

#Trump's South African-born adviser [& fellow #WhiteSupremacist] #ElonMusk has also been highly critical of #SouthAfrica's govt. He has slammed the country's affirmative action laws, which he says prevent his #Starlink #satellite company from entering the market🎻. On Tues, reports suggested that #Ramaphosa might offer the #Tesla billionaire some kind of deal ahead of his White House meeting [don’t do it!].

A half-ton Soviet spacecraft is about to crash into Earth, but don't panic.

NBC News reports: "Kosmos-482 was designed to land on Venus but instead has spent the past 53 years languishing in Earth’s orbit because of a rocket malfunction." It's expected to enter Earth's atmosphere sometime on Saturday.

I Do Declare Tomorrow, May 10th 2025 As
"The Sky Is Falling" Day !!!

Because it is very likely that the Cosmos 482 (formerly known as Venera 4V-1 No. 671) will come crashing down on Earth, somewhere.

[BTW. It's a titanium alloy sphere, powered by a nuclear battery, which weights 1,091 lbs and is highly likely to reach the surface of Earth in one piece as it was designed to withstand 300 g of acceleration and 100 atmospheres of pressure.]
