@tranquil_cassowary @OpenComputeDesign @light Granted I merely pointed at @fdroidorg & #AuroraStore as simple examples.

Obviously this is done as #Android suffers from rampant #piracy to the point that unlike on #iOS NOONE does commercial one-time-purchase #Games for it anymore!

  • Circumventing the requirement of #PII for #Google accounts may not work reliably in every juristiction, but I guess if someone actually needs to use some #CCSS - #Apps exclusives to it they gotta have to suck it up for now...

Personally I don't do anything critical on my Phone and assume that if some sort of #Govware or #Spyware is physically possible that it's there...

heise online · Marokko zieht gegen deutsche Spyware-Berichterstattung vor BGHBy Daniel AJ Sokolov

Today I got debanked for the 3rd time in my life, and I'm not even 30 yet.. (I got debanked by 3 different banks in 3 different countries, one american and the other two are european)

As you most likely know (if you have ever used a bank!), banking institutions do an extensive check on individuals before they're allowed to use their services, voice verification, face scans, Government IDs, Electricity bill.. you name it, they'll ask for it at some point.

needless to say, don't expect any privacy with a banking institution, all transactions are logged and tracked, and suspicious transactions are flagged and blocked, until.. you're allowed to spend your hard earned money by your banking overlords.. I can't count how many times i was going to spend money on some unknown website and i ended up contacting their tech support only for them to say: ''It's no us, contact your banking institution"

So this didn't happen because I did some shady business, no no.. at this point i wish i did (at least I would have deserved my ban), again they know EVERYTHING about me (if they have enough info to easily identify me, then they know everything), they know where I live (don't ask me where?), they know how much I have in my balance, and they know what i spend it on.. so they know what I'm all about, they even know what device I'm using (because device fingerprinting is good for your security 🤡)

I got debanked because I used an "international" transaction system to receive funds, you know! the way it was supposed to be used! hence "International", but you see even though it's technologically possible to do so, it doesn't mean you're allowed to do it, why?

"*because we don't like to have anything to do with your country.. It makes us look bad*"

next time your see a banking institution marketing themselves as the next unstoppable force that will reach uncharted territories, and they'll connect everyone so they can prosper. just know that's never going to happen..again not because it's technologically impossible!

They give you the illusion that you're included and supported and you exist in this world, They offer a button for you to change the language of their website, they'll list your country of course, they'll send you the SMS codes so you can start using their tracker loaded app (so they can make an extra buck behind your back) but once you put money in that account, suddenly the slave games begin, verification after another everytime you change the smallest detail on your account, TOS changes every couple of months, and they'll always affect your region for some reason!

I'm rambling, but what I just said doesn't matter as much as this next part, what I said is not the real reason why I got debanked **it's just an assumption**, I don't even know why I got debanked!!

it's just the best explanation I could think of.. here the email they sent me:

> "We’ve decided to keep your account closed.

>*We’re unable to share the specific reason why we’re closing your account.* As a regulated financial institution, there's limited information we can share when we close an account."

If you're thinking, no transparency. then you're not the first one who thought this, it's ironic that a regulated banking institution will require every legal document to be legit and every face scan to be crystal clear, don't use a VPN too, just to get on board, but when you get kicked off, you don't deserve any explanation!

In the previous emails I could feel like they wanted to say: "I know you're upset we're sending you the like 500 emails about our constant change of the TOS, but just know it's not us, we're regulated i.e. forced at gun point to operate like this, so even though we're technologically able to move your funds internationally, and yeah your country is included in our list of countries, but that's just for show, you know as well as we do, that your country has a lot of scams, money laundering, shady businesses.. Etc, and no one wants to be associated with that"

You know, non of this is as triggering to me as how you're treated after the ban, basically like a criminal, they'll keep referring you to their TOS, and saying this decision is finale, after visiting some forums, turns out a lot of people encounter the same situation.. the reality is banks can ban you for whatever reason and they don't have to say why, now in my case i think it's because of my country's reputation, but other have stated different reasons such as:

- Banks hate when you trade crypto (and as you may know, some of these coins can be private, which makes it a pain in the ass to track, so it's really not about crypto)
- Inactivity (needs no further explanation)
- Having more than one account (needs no further explanation, but i guess you're harder to track, if you double your tracks)
- below zero balance (needs no further explanation)

no one should be debanked, and absolutely should not be debanked + leaving them speculating on the reason why.. which is where we are right now.. It's humiliating, it really is..

To debank someone is to end their livelihood, it's to make them starve and go homeless, it's inhumane and barbaric.. (It's what i call cyber-violence, just like there's cyber-warfare in the cyber space there's also violence), and the fact that governments posses such trigger is really alarming

I know i know, says the guy who crawled back to the banks not once, not twice but three times.. let me tell you, it hurts and it leaves you literally stuck in life, all the plans you had, GONE.. now what?

It can be worse for other people, it can always be worse for someone else, that's how i think about it.. so i can keep my cool.. what matters now, is that i learned my lesson and now i recognize that financial tyranny is a real thing, and it's coming for us all, just like the surveillance state and we should do something about it, we should talk about it more, and recognize it as a threat to individuals liberty and safety.
