An unidentified Mud Crab (genus Scylla) spotted peeping out of a muddy puddle at the mangrove area of Pasir Ris Park, Singapore, on 29 June 2023. Mud crabs are the served in Chilli Crabs dishes, but those crabs usually come from Sri Lanka.

A Reticulated Swamp Crab (Parathelphusa reticulata) spotted at Upper Seletar Reservoir Park, Singapore on 2 Dec 2023, next to the Nee Soon Swamp Forest. It was busy feeding, letting me get shots and also a video (see following post).
This swamp crab is endemic to Singapore and seldom seen. It is usually only found in that swamp forest.
