There is a myth that increasing housing supply will lead to lower rents or affordable housing.

Despite a recent increase in housing supply, Spain has more problems than ever. The right want to blaim squatters but the real problem is a lack of governmental control over housing production.

Left to the market, housing production will not meet hoising need. Here in the UK we have no squaters but he prblerm is the same, our housing supply is increasingly not meeting need.Jacked up rents are leading to a rentier economy where wealth is extracted by landords and banks.

the UK government currently plans to segregate off trans people into separate wards for treatment.

this petition is asking the government to stop that. if the petition gets to 100,000 signatures it will be debated in parliament. it has passed 10,000 and the government has responded, but it only runs until early July.
